Henry W. Strobel, Ph.D. Freshman Retreat

Since the introduction of the Freshman Retreat program in 1977, the students involved have begun as strangers and left as close friends. This retreat provides students with a positive introduction to medical school life by promoting interaction through bonding activities, faculty presentations, and small group discussions.

To support this beloved tradition, the Alumni Association created the Henry W. Strobel, PhD Freshman Retreat Endowment in 2007. Dr. Strobel was present at the program’s inception and has continued serving as a faculty advisor for the past 35 years. As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the retreat, please join us with a gift or 5-year pledge to the Henry W. Strobel, PhD Freshman Retreat Endowment to keep this rich tradition alive.
