Pseudoachondroplasia Research

Your gift to UTHealth’s Pseudaochondroplasia ( PSACH ) Research Fund helps make it possible for the dedicated staff to accelerate their research into the genetic causes of the disease and discover new therapies to treat children with pseudoachondroplasia. The team is in need of additional funding in order to continue testing various drugs and exploring ways to stop this abnormal buildup of COMP in chondrocytes in their mouse model. This may decrease the bone deformities and pain associated with pseudoachondroplasia. Philanthropic support will help maintain and expand the mouse colony for testing. Your donation can help children and adults with this rare condition come a few steps closer to a pain-free life.
